Why AngelBiba?
For many years, I have lived and worked in the London Borough of Islington in a district known as “The Angel” and Biba? well to family and friends, that is my name.

About Me
Although my original training was in fine arts, I have worked for much of my time - In between bringing up four children - as a designer and stylist in the film and photographic industry - often in some way fashion based. Fashion has also been a lifelong love and anticipating it’s trends a dubious native talent I seem to possess. I have always loved to make things, often because what I want just can’t be found and sometimes just to distract my somewhat restless hands.

Before
In the mid ‘80’s I set up "Surfaces" a London based company providing a prop hire service specialising in unique background and surface materials for photography and film, many created by myself . I take pride in the fact that Surfaces was I believe a first of it's kind and ran successfully for many years.

Angel Fashion
A more recent enterprise was Angel Fashion Market. I had devised a line of chic crocheted cloche hats that had been very well received - and also I see now, much copied. I had come to realise how difficult it is for our talented fashion designer makers to compete with the high street. so, I decided to set up my own fashion market dedicated to promote their work. Sadly we lost the site, but over the time it ran, it proved to me that shoppers can be diverted from the same old/same old when offered an alternative to the hight street chain's uniforms.

Jewelry
I like learning new skills, working with new materials, finding ways to subvert them for my own creative end. I am so thrilled at having now discovered the fascination of semi-precious gemstones, I have become enthralled seeing in them endless creative possibilities.
